Un grupo de propietarios tradicionales pidió la revisión judicial de una Concesión Especial para la Agricultura y el Comercio (SABL, por sus siglas en inglés) otorgada por el Ministro de Tierras y Planificación a un promotor de palma de aceite.  La concesión de 99 años permitía al promotor rozar la tierra, cosechar y vender la madera, y sembrar palma de aceite.
