Antoinette Moore to speak September 10th

Antoinette Moore, champion of human rights and the environment in Belize, will speak on September 10 at University of Oregon School of Law.

Dear Friends:

With great pleasure, the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide and the Wayne Morse Center for Law & Politics invite you to join us in welcoming Antoinette Moore

Protecting Belize and Beyond:

Indigenous Rights and the Environment

Wednesday September 10th

7:00 p.m.
University of Oregon School of Law

Room 175

ELAW partner Antoinette Moore

ELAW partner Antoinette Moore recently won a tremendous victory for Mayan villagers: the Belize Supreme Court ruled that indigenous peoples own their traditional lands. This fundamental right of ownership of traditional land is a major victory for indigenous communities -- in Belize and beyond.

We hope that you can join us for a lively lecture and discussion about Antoinette's work connecting human rights and protection of the environment in Belize, and how her victory can help protect the environment and indigenous communities around the world. I look forward to seeing you!

Sincerely,

Bern Johnson
Executive Director
